On Tuesday, January 20, 2009, the Garland Youth Council will host a special "visioning workshop" intended to find out how teens view Garland's future. The 2-hour workshop will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Audubon Recreation Center, 342 W. Oates Rd. The workshop is free, but pre-registration is requested. Call 972-205-2445.

Mission
The mission of the City’s Youth Council is to provide a forum which educates Garland’s youth to the various workings of City business, and allows youth to be a voice to address their particular ideas and concerns. All meetings are open and youth are encouraged to attend and participate.
