Patty Granville Arts Center Facilities

The Patty Granville Arts Center complex is owned and operated by the City of Garland. The Theatres at the Granville Arts Center, The Atrium at the Granville Arts Center, the Plaza Theatre, and the Pace House are rental facilities which all civic, community and commercial organizations have the opportunity to utilize. The Arts Center staff is dedicated to assisting these groups in presenting outstanding meetings, seminars, receptions and/or productions. The Granville Arts Center is open seven days a week and has advanced bookings scheduled throughout the year.
The Patty Granville Arts Center provides two elegant proscenium theatres with seating for 720 and 200. The Main auditorium features a 55 foot fly loft with a counterweight system. The Arts Complex also includes the Plaza Theatre which is located at 521 W. State Street on the Square in downtown Garland. The Plaza Theatre has seating for 350. All three theatres have computerized lighting systems and state of the art technology.
The Atrium at the Granville Arts Center is a 6,500 square foot ballroom that will accommodate up to 450 people seated for a dinner. The ballroom is encased in glass on two sides and opens onto a beautiful outdoor courtyard. The luxurious glass-lined lobby covers more than 3,100 square feet. The Atrium provides an elegant setting for banquets, receptions, weddings, trade shows, exhibits and conventions.
Hours of Operation: Granville Arts Center is open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm and during all performances. (Holiday hours as posted) Regular Business Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm Box Office hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. The Box Office is also open two hours before each performance.
News and Information: Events at the Granville Arts Center and the Plaza Theatre can be found in the Arts In Action newsletter (Arts In Action), the Garland City Press Community/Arts pages (Arts News), and the Calendar of Events. Art Exhibits are featured monthly in the Granville Arts Center Lobby. Cultural Organizations: The Garland Cultural Arts Commission (GCAC) was formed in 1986 by the Garland City Council to serve as a liaison between City and community-based arts and historic groups. The Commission's primary goal is increased visibility of the arts in Garland. The three major cultural groups designated by the GCAC as Affiliate Organizations are Garland Civic Theatre, Garland Summer Musicals, and Garland Symphony Orchestra Association.
