What rental facilities are available at the Granville Arts Center?
The Theatres at the Granville Arts Center can accommodate everything from Broadway touring shows to symphony concerts.  The main auditorium features a proscenium stage,  deluxe, fully upholstered seats, hydraulic orchestra lift, state of the art sound and lighting equipment and seating capacity of 720.  The smaller modified proscenium theatre seats 200 and is also equipped with full curtains and complete booth controlled lighting and sound systems.

The Atrium at the Granville Arts Center provides a location for wedding receptions, seminars, conventions, banquets and fund-raisers for civic organizations, individuals, and commercial entities. The Atrium will accommodate up to 500 people seated at tables. It also features a spacious lobby and a fully equipped catering kitchen for banquet service.  The Atrium is located adjacent to the Arts Center
 
The Plaza Theatre, an extension of the Granville Arts Center, provides a spacious lobby and an elegant auditorium with a stage that is excellent for any production or meeting given by schools, non-profit organizations, commercial companies, and individuals.  This state-of the-art facility seats 350.  The Plaza Theatre is located at 521 W. State Street on the downtown square.  

The Pace House has an ambiance of its own and awaits only your imagination.  It is a one-story frame house consisting of two large rooms divided by a foyer, two well-appointed Victorian-style restrooms and a kitchen.  The Pace House will accommodate up to 100 people.  The Pace House is located at 234 Museum Plaza, behind the Granville Arts Center.

Can I see what the rental facilities look like?
Tours of each facility are available by calling the Granville Arts Center at 972-205-2780.  Regular business hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Where is the Patty Granville Arts Center located?
The Patty Granville Arts Center is located in downtown Garland at the intersection of Fifth and Austin St.  We are located adjacent to the DART light rail station and approximately six minutes from either the 190 George Bush Tollway exit or the I-635 LBJ exit.  Click here for mapping and directions.

The Plaza Theatre is located around the corner at 521 W. State Street on the Square in downtown Garland. Click here for mapping and directions.
 
From the 190 George Bush Tollway, take State Hwy. 78 South.  Continue on for approximately 2.5 miles to the major intersection at First Street.  Veer to the right and you will be on Main St.  Continue to downtown Garland and the next light is Fifth St.  Make a right and the Granville Arts Center will be on the right hand corner at Fifth & Austin St.  
  
From the North Dallas area, travel southeast on I-635.  Take the Abrams Road Exit, turn left and continue past Richland College to the stoplight at Walnut St.  Take a right on Walnut and continue approximately 5 miles until to the stoplight at Fifth Street, and take another right.  The Granville Arts Center will be on the left hand corner.  

From I-20 or I-30, travel northwest on I-635.  Take the Northwest Highway/Shiloh Road exit.  Continue on to Shiloh Road and take a right.  Go up to Garland Road and take another right.  Stay on Garland Road for approximately 4 miles until you come to the light at Walnut, then turn right.  Go to the second stoplight, which is Fifth Street, and take another right.  The Granville Arts Center will be on the left hand corner.

How do I rent one of the facilities at the Granville Arts Center?
The staff of the Granville Arts Center takes rental reservations and prepares contracts for renting the different facilities.  The following is a breakdown of contact personnel for each facility:

Information on upcoming events at the Granville Arts Center can be found in the Arts In Action Newsletter newsletter, the Arts News, and the Calendar of Events.  Information is also available at the Arts Center box office or by calling 972-205-2790.

How can I purchase tickets for events at the Granville Arts Center and the Plaza Theatre?
The Granville Arts Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m for ticket purchases.  The Box Office sells tickets for the Garland Civic Theatre shows running September through May, Children on Stage shows running August through March, and for the Garland Summer Musicals during June and July.  Tickets are also on sale during the month of November for City Dance Theater’s production of "The Nutcracker."  Tickets may be purchased by phone with a MasterCard or Visa by calling 972-205-2790, or at the ticket window with cash, check or charge.  The Box Office is also open for ticket sales two hours before each production.  All other productions at the Granville Arts Center and the Plaza Theatre are handled by the individual groups and are also sold at the door the day of the production.  Contact information is available on our Calendar of Events and in the Arts In Action newsletter.
