City Secretary

The City Secretary Department's mission is to facilitate, support and enhance the efforts of the City Council to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of their office and the ability of the general public to acquire and access public records and information. 

Minutes are available in PDF format online. CDs or DVDs are available for purchase or can be viewed online

City Code of Ordinances is available online or at the Library.

  •  April 23 - First day for early voting by personal appearance
  • May 1 - Last day of regular early voting by personal appearance

Early voting is available at the following Garland locations:

Richland College - Garland Campus - 675 W. Walnut St., Garland, 75040

South Garland Branch Library - 4845 Broadway Blvd., Garland, 75043

Early voting hours:

Monday, April 23 - Saturday, April 28
     8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday, April 29
     1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Monday, April 30 - Tuesday, May 1
     7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
          

  Additional ID Options for Voters

The City of Garland reminds Texans that voters who cannot obtain one of the seven forms of approved photo ID now have additional options when voting in person. See a complete list of acceptable photo ID and supporting documentation on the Elections page.

Solicitor permits for door to door home solicitation and individual/group home flyer distribution are issued by the Garland Police Department at 1891 Forest Lane 972-205-1658.
