We reached out to our local artist community to help create a t-shirt design for our upcoming festival. The selected design was created by Susie Cortez who is also one of the artists who painted the dumpsters during Big Art Day.
There is a limited amount of event t-shirts available now for $21.50. You can purchase at the Visitor Information Center located at 211 N. Fifth St.(map), or the day of the event.
Garland Special Events Inclement Weather Plan begins with the safety of our participants at events. Decisions to delay, postpone, or cancel an event are made in conjunction with the hosting City Officials and Safety Personnel. These decisions are made with careful consideration, in the best interest of our participants, and are final. After review of the NWS weather update, the Special Events Team and City Officials will make the decision on the event day. The City will make the announcement no later than 2 p.m. for the sake of those involved in the event and those visitors that may be commuting. This includes but is not limited to the existence of visible lightning, thunder, strong or dangerous wind conditions, hail, and heavy rain and flooding. Our events will be held rain or shine unless conditions are unsafe.
